Not many celebrities can have the kind of elaborate wedding preparations that Ryan and Trista had for their wedding, which is being described as the wedding of the century. It is believed that the theme wedding cost a whopping 4 million dollars.

The setting for the wedding was the Lodge Rancho Mirage that was decorated in Trista’s favorite color: Pink! This was an outdoor wedding that included several helicopters hovering and flying over the location. Keeping with the theme, the altar was decorated with garlands and bowers of pink roses. The wedding inspired over 30,000 pink and ivory colored roses. Guests were comfortably seated on chairs that were decorated with many shades of pink while the wedding party descended a wide stone stairway.

Trista was attired in a white satin wedding dress created by Badgley Mischka. The a-line skirt was attractive and went well with an ornately beaded bodice that also had an elaborate border to the shirred bodice.  It is believed that the bride also donned diamond-encrusted shoes that were sourced from Stuart Weitzman. The partial up-styling of her hair was achieved with an elegant and rather chic touch given to Trista’s tresses that had the ends curling near the shoulders; this sophisticated look was complemented with a veil pinned to her back. The bride’s bouquet gave the impression of being made up of either peonies or roses in full bloom.

The Bridesmaids looked beautiful in their black ruffled pink Amsale gowns. All the gowns were strapless except the one worn by the matron-of-honor. The bouquets they carried were made of various shades of pink roses.

Ryan and the groomsmen were dressed in black tuxedos and vests, long silver ties and collar shirts as is the tradition. The attire was sourced from Kenneth Cole. The small boutonnieres they had were presumably stephanotis.

The ceremony began with the Bride and Groom being welcomed by the presiding officiant and declaring their willingness to be married; the couple read aloud a poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, titled, “How do I love thee…let me count the ways,” which enthralled the audience and was subsequently followed by a unique sand ceremony. This consisted of pouring three colors of sand into a vase. The three colors represented their neutral foundation. The colors were then blended to represent their choice to amalgamate their lives together.

The personal theme continued with both Ryan and Trista reading letters they had written to each other. Ryan concluded his letters by saying, “I’ve woken to a sunrise more surprising and beautiful than any dream.” This moved a lot of people attending the wedding. The vows were very personalized too, with a lot of thought being put into them. After affirming their love for each other once again, the two were declared man and wife by the wedding officiant and they sealed their loyalties to each other with the traditional kiss.

Fro the reception Trista changed out of the wedding gown in to a lacy white spaghetti-strapped dress. Ryan got casual by removing his jacket. The food for the reception was especially flown in from fourteen countries! The spread included 600 bottles of wine, 1500 pounds of chocolate, 180 bottles of champagne and 200 pounds of shrimp, crab, and lobster. The chocolate wedding cake was an entirely new concept at this celebrity wedding that wowed the socks off many of the star invitees too with its exclusivity quotient.

Ryan ended the ceremony with song he had composed. His friend and country singer Brad Paisley was requested to serenade the couple with it. The opening verse of the song went thus:

Here I am

Wondering where I stand

Looking for a place to land

My heart in the palm of her hand

Just a boy dying to be her man

Now, that’s what we call tying the knot celebrity style – simply marry-velous, isn’t it J??
